(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – On Saturday, September 1, 2018 at approximately 5:13 p.m., Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with the Huron County Paramedic Services and North Huron Fire Department attended to a private property located on Beecroft Line, west of Belgrave, in response to a male who had been injured by a horse.
Police investigation revealed the male’s horse got spooked and began to run free. The victim attempted to control the horse by grabbing onto the harness and when he did so he was kicked in the abdomen by the horse.
He was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
The deceased has been identified as 60-year-old, James Robert MCGEE of Morris-Turnberry.
