(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) On Thursday April 04, 2013 around 3:30 p.m. a Perth County OPP officer was patrolling the area near the intersection of Perth Road 113 and Line 29 south of Stratford. The officer observed a pickup truck on Perth Road 113 whose operator was not wearing a seatbelt.
The officer pulled over the truck and discovered that the 60 year old male driver from Stratford was not only driving without his seatbelt fastened, he also had an open bottle of beer beside him. The officer administered a roadside breath test on the man which resulted in a blood alcohol concentration reading result of between .05 and .08. The man’s driver’s licence was seized by the officer and it has been suspended for 3 days by the Ministry of Transportation.
