On the 6th of April, 2016, Waterloo Regional Police executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence in Cambridge. Six people were arrested in the residence and quantities of heroin, crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl and Cannabis resin were seized along with Canadian currency and other drug related evidence. A Cambridge male (26) and female (21) were charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (2 counts) while four Cambridge males, aged, 39,30,28, and 23 were charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (3 counts), Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Possession of Cannabis resin. Two of the males were held for a show cause hearing on April 7, 2016 while three of the males and the female have court dates in June, 2016.
