On Thursday June 9, 2016 at approximately 5:30 a.m., a 57 year old Cambridge woman was walking east bound on Winston Boulevard in the City of Cambridge. A pick up truck driven by a 51 year old Cambridge man backed up striking her and running her over. The female was transported to Cambridge Memorial Hospital and later transported to an out of town trauma centre with serious injuries. The investigation is on going, charges are pending. Police are asking if anyone witnessed this occurrence if they could please contact the Waterloo Regional Police Service Traffic Branch.
