We are looking for people that want to fix Wingham, and restore our
community to its former glory. Our community has not had a
leader for many years, resulting in a few Department Heads taking
control of the Corporation of North Huron. This unchecked
spending has led to Town staff wages exceeding the amount raised by
property taxes, and Wingham being the highest taxed town in Ontario.
Run For Council At No Cost – Free Entry Into Next Election
Wingham Free Press will pay the $100 nomination fee, provide free
online promotion, and free flyer dumps in North Huron for candidates
which support the changes we desperately need to get Wingham back on
the right track. This includes staff reductions, not letting
department heads rule the corporation, and doing whatever it takes
to bring our tax rate down so we are competitive with surrounding
areas.
Currently WFP is in 20,000 homes a month, with over 400,000 story
reads a month. We have experienced constant and predictable
growth, and expect to be able to deliver over 2 million banner ads
on our site in the months leading up to the next municipal election.
As a North Huron Councillor or Reeve, you will make approximately
$1,000/month, or $50,000 during your 4 year term. If you are
part of the team (next council) that gets our taxes under control,
you will be virtually guaranteed of perpetually being re-elected,
and making $1,000/month for life.
