$5,000 In Copper Wire Stolen From Cell Tower Site

(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating a recent theft of copper wire stolen from a Telus cell tower site located on Sanctuary Line east of Vanastra. Sometime over the last two weeks someone forced entry into the cell tower site. Once inside the fenced off area those responsible cut off several eight foot lengths of copper grounding wire.

In total, approximately 50 feet of six gauge copper wire was stolen. The value of the theft and damages to the site is estimated at approximately $5,000.

Huron OPP encourage anyone that observes suspicious activity to notify police as soon as possible. Your prompt call to police may help solve a crime.
