5 Buzzed Drivers Caught In Huron

(BLUEWATER, ON) – A few minutes after midnight on January 6, 2013 a Huron OPP officer stopped a Dodge pickup truck on Mill Road near Parr Line.
Upon speaking with the male driver officers noted he had been drinking alcohol. A roadside test was completed and the driver registered a warn range reading. The driver, a 32 year old male from Central Huron has lost his driving privileges for three days.

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A 35 year old male driver from South Huron has lost his driving privileges for three days after getting stopped for speeding. On January 5, 2013 just before 9:00 a.m. a Huron OPP officer observed a Saturn travelling over the speed limit on Crediton Road. Upon stopping the speeding driver the officer noted the driver had been consuming alcohol. A roadside test was completed and the driver registered a warn range reading. He was ticketed for speeding and was served with a three day driver’s licence suspension.

(HURON EAST, ON) – On January 4, 2013 a Huron OPP officer stopped a Ford Explorer on Flora Street near Turnberry Street in Brussels.
Upon speaking with the driver officers noted he had been drinking alcohol. A roadside test was completed and the driver registered a warn range reading. The driver, a 58 year old male from Huron East was served with a three day driver’s licence suspension.

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – An early morning New Year’s Day R.I.D.E (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) checkpoint set up on Main Street at George Street in Exeter found a driver that had been drinking. At roughly 9:45 a.m. a Pontiac Grand-Am entered the checkpoint; officers spoke with the driver and detected he had been drinking alcohol. A roadside test was completed and the driver registered a warn range reading. The 38 year old male driver from Stratford was served with a three day driver’s licence suspension.

(HURON EAST, ON) – A R.I.D.E (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) checkpoint set up on Oak Road at Hensall Road found a driver that had been drinking alcohol. Just before 3:00 p.m. a Chevrolet Silverado entered the checkpoint. Upon speaking with the male driver officers noted he had been drinking alcohol. A 51 year old from North Middlesex has lost his driving privileges for three days.
