49 Harassing Phone Calls In Two Days Ends With Arrest

(TOWN OF SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On December 31st, 2014, members of the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted about a harassing telephone call occurrence.

Investigation revealed that the accused, Janis McNEILL, 65, of the Town of South Bruce Peninsula, had placed 11 harassing calls on December 30th and an additional 38 calls on December 31st to the victim. The accused was verbally abusive to the victim and bound by a probation order to abstain from communicating with this person.

Bruce Peninsula OPP executed an arrest warrant at the accused’s residence in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula. The accused was arrested without incident.

McNEILL has been charged with Fail to Comply with Probation Order, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

She was held for a bail hearing on January 1st, 2015.
