(FERGUS, ON) On April 29, 2013 at approximately 4:00pm, County of Wellington OPP officers responded to the report of a domestic assault that occurred at a residence on Highland Road in the Town of Fergus.
As a result of the investigation, a 46 year old female, who had fled the scene prior to police arrival, was located at her residence in Cambridge. She faces charges of Assault with a Weapon, and Assault Causing Bodily Harm, both contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on June 10, 2013 to answer to the charges.
OPP do not release the names of accused persons in domestic matters to protect the identity of the victims.
