Between September, 2017 and October, 2017, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Cybercrime and Internet Child Exploitation Unit, investigated complaints that a person was in possession of child pornography at a Kitchener location. As a result of the investigation, officers executed a search warrant at a Kitchener residence on December 29, 2017. A 46-year-old man was arrested for Possession of Child Pornography. Computer equipment was seized from the residence. The Waterloo Regional Police Service is a member of the Ontario Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet. This project has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services.
