41 Division School Zone and School Bus Safety Campaign, Monday, April 13, 2015, to Friday, April 17, 2015

To enhance pedestrian safety within our communities, the Toronto Police Service will continue to be diligent in education and enforcement strategies.

The safety of children going to and from area schools is of paramount importance.

Increased enforcement during the 41 Division School Zone and School Bus Safety Campaign will take place during the week of Monday, April 13, 2015, to Friday, April 17, 2015, with school zones and school bus-related enforcement continuing to be a priority throughout the year.

All officers from 41 Division will pay particular attention to those motorists and cyclists who commit offences in the vicinity of school zones, pedestrian crossovers, crosswalks, intersections, and areas frequented by designated school buses and school children. Officers will also be concentrating on distracted drivers, speeding, red-light, stop-sign and other offences, in or near school zones. Parking regulations will also continue to be enforced in designated school zones.
