$400,000 Of Cocaine Seized In London

On Thursday, May 26, 2016, members of the Guns and Drugs Section (consisting of members of the London Police Service and RCMP), executed a search warrant on Proudfoot Lane.

Seized were the following drugs:

– 4016 grams of cocaine valued at $400,160

– 1490 grams of marihuana valued at $14,900

– 126 grams of MDMA valued at $12,600

– 15 vials of shatter oil valued at $1,500

Total Value of Drugs seized: $429,100

Other items seized as a result:

– One loaded .40 calibre handgun

– 200 rounds of ammunition (.38 and .40 calibre)

– Loaded .40 calibre magazine

– Canadian currency valued at $2625

– 1 cocaine press

– 7.626 grams of cutting material

As a result of this investigation, Abdul Shahin is charged with the following:

– Possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;

– Possession of schedule III substance for purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;

– Two counts of possession of schedule II substance for purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

– Use/Handle/Store firearm carelessly, contrary to section 86(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada;

– Unlicenced person possess prohibited/restricted weapon, contrary to section 91(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada;

– Possess firearm knowing no authority, contrary to section 92(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada;

– Possess prohibited/restricted weapon knowing no authority, contrary to section 92(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada;

– Possess firearm while prohibited, contrary to section 117.01(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada;

– Possess loaded regulated firearm, contrary to section 95(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada; and

– Five counts of failing to comply with the condition of a judicial release contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code of Canada
