On Friday the 2nd of August 2013 between 9:30AM & 2:00PM, Barrie police received four calls for dogs left in cars. In all of the incidents the dogs were left with the car windows partially down. Police remind pet owners that the temperature inside of a car can raise to distressing levels even with the milder summer temperatures we are experiencing. Leaving the windows open will only delay this rise in temperatures. Fortunately none of the dogs in these incidents were in distress thanks to callers concerned for their well-being.
