(Goderich, ON) Sometime during the night of May 28-29, 2009 unknown persons entered into Maitland Marina by boat or vehicle and broke into twenty boats that were moored in the marina. Three of the boats had locked hatches and the suspects forced their way in, damaging the hatches.
Numerous items were removed from the boats. They include televisions, tools, clothing, alcohol, electronic devices, and other miscellaneous nautical items. The total value of the loss is estimated at $35,000.
