(PERTH EAST, ON) – A neighbour’s observations and quick telephone call to police led to the arrest of a suspicious male.
During the early morning hours of February 7, 2018, the male was observed entering a rural property in the Township of Perth East. Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted and attended the address. The male was located and arrested.
Thirty-four-year old Jacob ENNS of Woolwich Township was arrested and charged with Trespass by Night, Fail to Comply With Recognizance, Fail to Comply With Probation, and Personation.
He is currently being held for an upcoming court date.
Members of the Perth County OPP are advising property owners to secure their homes and vehicles, and to use exterior lighting wherever possible. We all want to protect our families and our properties, so let’s look out for one another. Talk to neighbours and friends, and report any suspicious activity, person or vehicle to police immediately. By remaining observant in our communities, we can send a collective message that criminal activity will not be tolerated.
