(PERTH COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) annual seat belt safety campaign was conducted from March 30, 2018 to April 2, 2018 across Ontario. The initiative provides an opportunity to educate members of the community about the role that seat belts play in saving lives in the event of a collision.
However, failing to wear a seat belt was not the only traffic violation observed by members of the Perth County OPP over the holiday weekend.
A total of 335 traffic charges were laid in Perth County during the initiative.
