(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On October 13, 2017 at approximately 3:00 p.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on Woodlawn Road West near Elmira Road in the City of Guelph. The officer observed a female driving a 2012 BMW X12 at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at 117 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.
33-year-old Zyrafete AJVAZI of Kitchener has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on December 6, 2017. Her driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
