(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On January 16, 2018 Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) cautioned a West Grey man with respect to criminal harassment and trespassing after an ex-girlfriend contacted police regarding unwanted contact from him.
On January 20, 2018 at approximately 12:30 a.m. the victim’s dog began barking at the front window of her residence in Markdale, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. She observed the accused’s pick-up truck idling on the roadway outside her residence and then driving away. Later the same morning, she observed the accused’s vehicle driving slowly past her residence which was witnessed by two friends.
On January 21, 2018 at approximately 4:46 p.m., the 32-year old accused attended the Markdale Detachment at which time he was arrested and subsequently charged with Criminal Harassment and Mischief.
He was held for a bail hearing scheduled for January 22, 2018. His first appearance is scheduled for February 15, 2018 in Owen Sound.
