$3000 In Damage Done During Break and Enter

Down town office building was broken into, approximately $3,000 in damage was done

The Owen Sound Police were called a down town office building at approximately 6:45 on Tuesday morning with regards to a break and enter. It appears that one suspect gained entry to the building by smashing an exterior window. Once inside the culprit proceeded to rummage through some cabinets in the rented office space before discharging a fire extinguisher, breaking some ceiling tiles and then smashing another window in an attempt to gain entry to the main hallway of the building.

A second male had made his way into the build as well. This male was discovered in the main hall by a maintenance employee opening up for the day’s business. After being confronted by the employee this party fled the area on foot. The male who had entered through the broken window, was as well located by the maintenance employee as he tried to break out from the office space into the main hall. As the employee escorted this male to the ground floor he too broke free and quickly fled the area on foot.

Approximately $3,000 in damages had been done by the two culprits. Nothing had been stolen but left behind was an empty forty ounce bottle of rum that the suspects had brought with them. The maintenance employee fortunately was not injured. It appears that this was an untargeted, random, senseless act.

Police are looking for two Caucasian males:

First Male Suspect: approximately 18 years of age, height 5’11”, slim build, wearing a dark jacket and dark pants, a black toque, and a blue and white bandana that he had covering his face.

Second Male Suspect: in his twenties, height 6’ to 6’ 2”, sandy blonde unkempt hair, medium build, dressed in dark clothing, wearing a black bandana or toque on his head.
