30 Year Old Caught Going 180 in a 100 – Name Released

(TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH/ERAMOSA, ON) – On Wednesday January 10, 2018 at approximately 2:30 a.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on Wellington Road 32, near Guelph. The officer observed a male driving a newer model coupe at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 180 km/h, exceeding the posted speed limit by more than 100 km/h.

30-year-old Sean Robert HARDMAN of Cambridge has been charged with Racing a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on February 21, 2018. His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
