30 Year Old Candy Thief Located Passed Out By Following Trail Of Wrappers

Barrie Police were called to Mac’s Convenience after a customer pushed an employee and left with various items he hadn’t paid for.

On Sunday, August 14th, 2016 at 3:15am Police were called to Mac’s Convenience at 149 Dunlop Street East, in the City of Barrie, in regards to an ongoing incident. The victim, the employee at the store, explained the suspect entered the store choosing many candy items and attempted to leave the store. When the victim attempted to stop him, the suspect pushed him to the side and fled on foot. Police were able to locate the male at the Bayview Park down the street by a trail of candy wrappers left behind. The 30-year-old Barrie male was located intoxicated and passed out in the grass at the park, surrounded by the evidence of his crime. He was charged with Theft Under $5000, Assault and Public Intoxication.
