3 Vehicle Collision Update – One Extricated By Firefighters

(TOWSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – Today at approximately 7:45 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Centre Wellington Fire and Rescue, and Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services responded to a report of a serious three vehicle collision on Highway 6 near Ennotville, Township of Centre Wellington.

The driver of a Ford Focus was initially trapped in his vehicle and had to be extricated by Firefighters. He was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries and is being transported to Hamilton General Hospital for further treatment of these injuries.

The drivers of the other two vehicles involved were transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Highway 6 is currently closed between 6th Line and Eighth Line (County 22) and is expected to remain closed for 4-5 hours for further investigation.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
