3 Stolen Vehicles, All Recovered In Different Conditions

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) Early Friday morning February 17, 2012 Perth County OPP officers were called to a residence on Line 12 where a locked Dodge Ram pickup truck had been stolen from the driveway sometime during the night. Shortly before 9 a.m. the truck was located on Road 161 within 1 km from where the truck had been stolen. The truck was found completely destroyed by fire.

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Saturday February 18, 2012 shortly after midnight OPP officers in Listowel responded to a residence on Inkerman St. West where the owner reported the theft of a Dodge Dakota pickup truck. Investigation revealed that the vehicle had been left unlocked with the spare keys inside. A purple automobile was seen in the area at the time of the theft. At 6:20 a.m. the stolen truck was located in a ditch along Perth Line 86 west of Listowel.

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) Between 10:30 p.m. on Sunday February 19 and 5:30 a.m. on Monday February 20, 2012 a Plymouth Voyageur mini van was stolen from parking lot at the corner of Wallace Ave South and Elma St. East in Listowel. Prior to the owner reporting the vehicle stolen, police had already recovered it at Pentastic Motors in Howick Twp where it had been used to ram a security gate allowing the theft of another vehicle. The van sustained extensive damage as a result of the incident but the owner was able to retrieve it. The door lock as well as the ignition of the van had been damaged.
