(TOWNSHIP OF MAPLETON ON) – On January 15, 2018 at approximately 11:25 p.m. a Wellington County Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting general patrol on Main Street, Town of Drayton.
The officer observed a silver sedan travelling westbound on Main Street at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 50 km/hr limit. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was identified as a suspended driver and a disqualified driver.
29-year-old Daniel John VALENTE of Wellington North was charged with Driving while Disqualified contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on February 23, 2018 to answer to the charge.
