(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On July 21, 2016 at approximately 3:30 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call about a possible impaired driver at the Tim Horton’s parking lot on Elora Street, Harriston. Police located the 2009 Ford in the lot and spoke with a female in the driver’s seat. Police believed that she was impaired by alcohol and was arrested. She was brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for testing and but refused to provide breathe samples.
Her driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.
29-year-old Christine WYLIE of Harriston has been charged with Refuse to Provide a Sample and Care or Control While Impaired contrary to the Criminal Code. She is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on September 2, 2016.
