(BLUEWATER, ON) – A 28-year-old male from Huron East has been charged with Possession of Marihuana following a traffic stop that took place on February 2, 2017. At approximately 7:55 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a Chevrolet Silverado travelling eastbound on Mill Road toward Airport Line. The officer noted the driver was having difficulty staying within the marked lane therefore a traffic stop was initiated to check on the condition of the driver.
While speaking with the male driver the investigating officer noted the odour of fresh cannabis marihuana coming from inside the vehicle. Further investigation ensued which led the officer to seizing a quantity of marihuana that was inside the vehicle. The driver was placed under arrest and taken into custody for the possession of cannabis marihuana.
Scott WILSON, 28 years of age from Huron East has been charged with Possession of a Schedule II Substance (Cannabis Marihuana). He has since been released from custody with a court date scheduled for March 13, 2017 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
