On April 8, 2017, as a result of an ongoing investigation, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search warrant at a residence on Queens Boulevard in Kitchener. As a result of the search, police seized about $27,000 worth of suspected fentanyl, heroin, methamphetamine, cannabis marihuana, methadone and prescription pills. A 44-year-old Kitchener man has been arrested and charged with drug, weapons and stolen property offences.
