(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – On September 12, 2017 at approximately 10:30 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an assault that had just occurred at 133 St. Andrew Street East in Fergus.
Investigation revealed that the suspect punched the victim in the face in an unprovoked assault. The victim sustained minor injuries.
26-year-old Christopher STEVENSON of Fergus was arrested and charged with Assault contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on October 27, 2017.
