(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On June 16, 2016 at 12:20 p.m., the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a 2016 Volkswagen for driving more than 50 kilometers over the posted 80 kilometer speed limit, on 6 Highway near the Mar Side Road in South Bruce Peninsula. Police seized and impounded the rental vehicle for seven days. A 25-year-old driver from Scarborough, ON, has been charged with race a motor vehicle. He is scheduled to appear before the Owen Sound Court of Justice on July 25, 2016, to answer to the charges.
