(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a 25-year-old from Goderich with Mischief and Obstruct Peace Officer following an incident that took place on January 3, 2017.
Just after 7:00 a.m. Huron OPP and Goderich Fire Department responded to the main beach in Goderich after an officer located a suspicious person inside the large wooden gazebo. The male had created a fire inside the wooden gazebo causing a significant amount of damage to the structure.
Upon arrest the male refused to identify himself and was further charged with obstructing a peace officer. Upon confirming the male’s identity police determined the male had outstanding warrants for his arrest. As a result, 25-year-old Caylen KALISH from Goderich has been charged with Mischief & Obstruct Peace Officer. He remains in custody with a bail hearing scheduled for January 11, 2017 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
