(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On Thursday November 23, 2017 at approximately 8:00 p.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on The Hanlon Parkway, Guelph. The officer observed a male driving a 2013 Dodge sedan at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 140 km/h, exceeding 60 km/h over the posted limit.
25-year-old Kyle Victor HUESTIS of Guelph has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on January 3, 2018.His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
