Barrie Police were called to a fire just before 6:00 a.m. at a residential complex on Owen Street, in the City of Barrie.
It is believed two units have been damaged by the fire and the remaining six units sustained damaged as a result of heat and smoke. Approximately 25 residents have been evacuated and there has been no injuries reported.
The Ontario Fire Marshalls Officer has been called in to investigate the cause of the fire.
