(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A 24-year-old from Clinton has been charged with Impaired Driving and Racing following an early morning traffic stop over the weekend.
Just before 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 9, 2017 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a Volkswagen Jetta travelling westbound on Huron Road (Highway 8) at a very high speed. The officer activated his radar unit and was able to measure the speed of the racing car at a speed in excess of 50 km/h over the 80 km/h speed limit.
