(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) – On February 11, 2017 at approximately 11:55 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting a R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program on Sykes Street in the Municipality of Meaford which resulted in the arrest of a driver for having a blood/alcohol content over 80 mgs.
24-year old Mark Heaton LEE of Hamilton, Ontario drove his 2007 Ford Ranger pick-up truck into the R.I.D.E. program on Sykes Street. A road side breath test was administered after it was determined that he had been drinking alcohol. After a registering a “fail”, further breath tests were conducted at the Chatsworth OPP Detachment. As a result, the driver was charged with over 80 mg.
A court date of March 2, 2017 was scheduled in Owen Sound.
