On Wednesday May 27th, an area farmer discovered approximately 23 barrels of suspected waste oil and other industrial chemicals in a remote part of the farm sometime between May 7 and May 27th. At this time Police and Ministry of Environment are attempting to determine how the barrels got there. Arrangements are being coordinated by the property owner to dispose of the barrels.
