Walkerton, ON – The 22nd Annual Longest Day of Gold was successfully held at the Walkerton Golf and Curling Club on Tuesday, June 23. The 230 golfers playing on 63 teams in relay format have raised $54,788 as of Thursday, June 25.
As a Brockton Community Festival Event over 350 local citizens and golfers came to breakfast joined in the Honourary Chairperson Ceremony and genuinely make this that most fun-filled and joyful start to summer in mid-western Ontario. Between 800 to 900 people participate in this Longest Day of Golf, recognized as Canada’s Biggest and Longest Running Event. Since 1994, $827,000 has been raised for The Canadian Cancer Society.
