On December 19 th , 2018 just after 10:00 a.m. officers from the Owen Sound Police Drug Unit and Criminal Investigations Branch executed a drug warrant at a student residence in Owen Sound.
The warrant resulted in the seizure of almost 70 grams of processed psilocybin commonly known as “magic mushrooms”.
During the continuing investigation Officers executed a second drug search warrant. Police further seized 162 grams of psilocybin that was being produced by the accused, from a second location in
Owen Sound.
The total street value of the seized psilocybin is approximately $2200. A 19 year old male from North Bay Ontario has been charged with Production of a Schedule III Drug (Psilocybin) and Possession of a Schedule III drug. He will appear in Court in Owen Soundon January 31 st , 2019.
