Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a fatal pedestrian collision in East Gwillimbury.
On Friday, November 18, 2016, at approximately 9 p.m., York Regional Police responded to a collision on Highway 11 near Sherwood Glen. Two pedestrians were struck on the roadway on Highway 11 by a white Honda Civic.
A 22-year-old male pedestrian of no fixed address was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 21-year-old female pedestrian was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
Any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police are being asked to please come forward.
