22 Year Old Facing Careless Driving Charge In Chatsworth – Dash Cam Footage Utilized

(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) – On August 7, 2016 at approximately 4:15 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received reports of a 2012 Toyota SXL vehicle being driven erratically on Hwy. 10 in the Township of Chatsworth. Concerned motorists reported that the vehicle was travelling at excessive speeds, passing on hills and forcing vehicles off the road.

Police stopped the suspect vehicle on Hwy. 6 near Robson Road.

With the assistance of witnesses and having the opportunity to view “Dash Cam” footage of the Toyota; police charged 22-year old Joel Alexander GIGNAC of Hamilton, Ontario with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
