(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) – On Monday June 27, 2016, shortly after 6 p.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers in Listowel were called to an address on Blake St. East where a male had been observed doing mischief to a vehicle.
Officers arriving at the incident location observed a Honda sedan with its rear window smashed out. They spoke to local residents who provided a description of the male suspect. Within minutes the suspect was located a few streets over from the incident location. The male was arrested and the skateboard he was carrying was seized, as it was the object used to smash the car window.
22-year-old Damien YORKE-THOMAS of the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with “mischief under $5,000”, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is to appear at the Listowel Court of Justice on Wednesday July 27, 2016, to answer to this charge.
