22 Year Old – 140 in an 80

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) On Friday November 25, 2011 at approximately 11 a.m. a Perth County OPP officer was conducting patrol on Hwy. 7 near Perth Line 20 when a fast moving Acura sedan was observed.

The officer activated the police radar and the Acura’s speed registered 140 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. The 22 year old male driver from Stratford was charged with ‘racing a motor vehicle”. He will have to appear in Stratford Court on January 10, 2012 to answer to this charge. He was issued a 7 day drivers licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
