21 Year Old Drunk Driver Crashes BMW In Brussels – TENPAS

(HURON EAST, ON) – A 21-year-old from Brussels has lost his driving privileges for an automatic 90-days and he will have to answer to an Impaired Driving charge following a crash that took place in Brussels over the weekend.

Shortly before 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2018 an officer from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Mount Forest Traffic Unit was patrolling southbound on Turnberry Street when the investigator observed a BMW that had just collided with a hydro pole at the intersection of Dunedin Drive and Turnberry Street.

The driver had just exited his vehicle when the officer approached and upon speaking with the male driver it was noted the driver was displaying several signs that he was impaired by alcohol. The driver was identified, placed under arrest for Impaired Driving and was subsequently transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for breath tests.

He subsequently provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both of his samples registered over the legal limit.

21-year-old Brody TENPAS from Brussels has been charged with Impaired Driving. He has a court date scheduled for April 23, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich. His vehicle was also towed from the scene and has been impounded for the week. In addition, his driver’s licence has been suspended for an automatic 90 days.
