20 Year Old Drunk Driver Involved In Collision

(TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH-ERAMOSA, ON) – On October 9, 2019, at approximately 2:00 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle collision on Wellington Road 124 at Watson Road, east of Guelph. Initial reports indicated that a driver of a grey sedan had drove through a T-intersection into a bush line and that two occupants had suffered minor injuries.

OPP and Guelph-Wellington Paramedics Service responded. While speaking with the driver, officers formed the opinion that the driver was impaired by alcohol. The driver was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Dawson Dylan DIPPEL, 20-years-old of Mount Forest has been charged with Impaired Operation and Impaired Operation – 80 Plus (mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood). A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph on November 12, 2019.
