After receiving a complaint with regards to a motorist driving erratically along highway 6 and 10 an Ontario Provincial Police officer spotted the vehicle in the Rockford area. As the officer attempted to stop this vehicle the driver quickly accelerated travelling north bound towards Owen Sound at a very high rate of speed. Concerned for the safety of others on the roadway the pursuit after this vehicle was quickly discontinued.
Soon after this vehicle entered Owen Sound the driver lost control striking an unattended parked vehicle. Although the impact caused considerable damage the driver continued to the 700 block of 6th Street ‘A’ East at which time he left the vehicle and fled the area on foot. It was determined that the 2015 Nissan Sentra that this party had been driving was stolen from the Kitchener area.
The investigation lead to the identity of a suspect. Officers upon checking locations and addresses in the city of where this male driver could have possibly fled, resulted in the successful apprehension and arrest of Bryan Noble, 20 year old from Kitchener, Ontario.
Noble has been charge with several criminal offences including: Flight from Police, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Fail to stop at the Scene of an Accident, Possession of Stolen Property and several Breach of Court Orders as well as Drive While Under Suspension. Noble has been held in custody and will be appearing for a bail hearing the morning of June 13th.
Fortunately, there was no one hurt as a result of this incident.
