On May 25 th , 2017 at 3:30 pm. Owen Sound Police and EMS responded to the report of a multi-vehicle collision in the 500 block of 6 th Street East. The police investigation revealed that a line of 4 vehicles were westbound on 6 th Street East when the lead vehicle stopped to make a left turn onto 5 th Avenue East.
The 3 rd vehicle in this line of traffic struck the vehicle in front it causing a chain reaction. Three of the 4 vehicles needed to be towed from the scene after sustaining moderate damage. Several of the vehicle’s occupants were checked at the scene by EMS and cleared medically.
A 20 year old Owen Sound woman has been charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
