On January 1, 2017 at approximately 1:30 a.m., a cab driver was robbed by a 20 year old Kitchener male in the area of Courtland Avenue East and Shelley Drive in Kitchener. Police responded to the area and located the male on a nearby community trail where he was arrested. The victim did not suffer any injuries as a result of the incident and no weapons were used. The stolen property was recovered at the time of arrest. The male was held for a bail hearing facing Robbery charges.
