20 Weather Related Crashes Investigated By Police

(PERTH COUNTY, ON) On Tuesday December 27, 2011 from noon until midnight, Perth County OPP officers responded to 20 weather related crashes in the county. A number of persons were transported to local hospitals with minor to non life threatening injuries.

(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) At 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday December 27, 2011 Perth County OPP officers were called to a two vehicle injury crash on Perth Line 20 east of Hwy 23.

It was determined that a Toyota CTX being operated by a 43 year old female from North York was traveling eastbound on Perth Line 20 when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The Toyota slid sideways onto the west bound lane where it was struck on the passenger side by a west bound Pontiac Montana van being driven by a 63 year old female from Stratford.

The 43 year old male passenger of the Toyota and the female driver of the Pontiac were both transported to the South Huron Hospital with non life threatening injuries. The driver of the Toyota was transported to St.Marys Memorial Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
