2 Kilos Of Marijuana, Weapons and Methamphetamine Taken Off The Streets – Robert DOUPE Charged Again

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted an investigation into stolen property at a residence on the 5th Line, Town of Minto. Police obtained a Criminal Code search warrant and a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant for the residence. On January 22, 2015, they were executed without issue involving the Wellington County OPP Street Crime Unit (SCU), West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), Wellington County OPP Canine Unit and Wellington County OPP uniformed officers. The male suspect was not present at the home but was subsequently located in Harriston and arrested later in the day.

The following items were seized during the search;

Suspected marijuana – approximately 2 Kgs
Small amount of Methamphetamine
Stolen property recovered- various tools- approximately $4000
6 replica handguns
Brass knuckles
Stolen dirt bike
Stolen motorized snow machine

It was also learned that the male suspect was on a Probation Order and breaching a Recognizance Order.

Robert DOUPE age 29 of the Town of Minto is charged with;

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000-Criminal Code X2 (C.C.)
Unauthorized Possession of Weapon- C.C.
Possession of Methamphetamine – Controlled Drug and Substances Act (C.D.S.A.)
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana under 3 kg- C.D.S.A.
Fail to Comply with Recognizance – C.C.
Fail to Comply with Probation Order – C.C.

He is to appear in Guelph Bail Court on January 23, 2015.
