19 Year Old Repeat Offender Jumps Fences Trying To Evade Police

A Barrie home owner found an unknown male in his garage, rummaging through his tools before he fled jumping over fences to evade police.

On Monday, August 15th, 2016 at 6:03pm Barrie Police were called to the area of Jones Drive and Nelson Street, in the City of Barrie, for a break and enter. The complainant told dispatchers the suspect had fled, jumping over back yard fences, providing a spot on description for police as they raced to the scene. Officers were able to locate the male in the back yard of a residence on Steel Street, east of Vancouver Street.

A 19-year-old Barrie male was arrested for Mischief, Theft and Breach Probation as he was found to be under the influence of an unknown drug and alcohol which he was on conditions for from a previous Possession of Stolen Property charge. The male was held at he Barrie Police Service overnight to attend court in the morning.
