(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) – On Thursday, December 1, 2016, shortly after 2:00 a.m., a car attempted to avoid a Festive R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) which was set up on Main Street West in Listowel. Members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located and stopped the car on Edward Avenue.
The 19-year-old driver, Nathan CHAMBERS, was arrested and transported to the North Perth OPP detachment where he was released on a Promise to Appear for the offences of drive disqualified and fail to comply with probation order under the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused is to appear at Ontario Court of Justice in Listowel on January 11, 2017. The car was towed and impounded for 45 days.
